this story is quite remarkable and no doubt many will appreciate it being told.

it is telling for several reasons; it highlights the fact that the watchtower organization can expel and marginalize anyone for literally anything if they are crossed.

they did that to ray franz back in the early 1980s and they recently have done it to these fine folks.. there are some six pieces of documentation in the account and it is in some ways a complicated mess, but it really boils down to a couple of active witnesses informing on someone to the elders.

Can You Be Disfellowshipped For Merely Repeating What Apostates Are Saying? Even If You Deny Belief In What Is Said?

say a person wants to start making fellow jws think and open up their eyes so they decide to just repeat what they have read on some apostate site but deny any agreement with what read.

how many times do you think he could do it before being called into a committee, and eventually be disfellowshipped?.

how long could someone last playing that cat and mouse game walking on the edge repeating apostate criticism but denying agreement?.

YEP! We just had a friend, when a JW elder was telling him about the annual meeting and how the GB must think armeggeddon is really close, our friend mentioned the scripture "Nobody knows the day or hour" to the elder. The elder got so mad that he told him to leave and now our friend is the subject of a 'Witch hunt'

so after the annual meeting, on sunday, the elders want to talk with my family.

Hi Thoughtless, Sir82 is right. If you want to stay a 'happy' good little JW then don't make any waves, don't say anything controversial, don't be defensive about anything.

If not and you don't care, then disappear and save yourself the ambush and bullying you will get.

It is all worth it. We individually don't have to make a big dent in WT but if make little tiny steps. I received this email this morning from a very nice Protestant woman.

If we can help those of other religions just to be able to confront JW's when they show up knocking on heir doors preaching.

I just thought you'd get a kick out of this! (For some background, i'm a Protestant and i just LOVE talking to JWs from that perspective, long story on that, LOL) Anyhoo, so i was JUST after watching your video , talking to a Witness, and after he was saying how it's just everyone's free choice to join the WT, i paint for him a picture of a kid who grew up in it, and ALL the restrictive behavior/info control - i listed it out for him, can't visit another church, can't read any other religions pubs, can't have friends outside WT,etc. AND THEN...you get baptized at 14, and they say it was YOUR OWN DECISION! ha, are you kidding me. THen you're trapped because of the shunning. So, i just threw in, oh yah, why does the WT lie about this on jw.org?? And he starts haltingly trying to explain/justify/deny it, and i just stopped him, and said, don't even bother with that, because i know in your heart, you know full well that this is a total lie. And he was quiet, and then i told him to google jehovahs witness suicide/mental illness.

Anyways, i thought you'd get a smile from that, you said you wanted to get the word out!! :)
